I practice different types of Reiki since March 2017.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle but very effective technique with its roots in Japan, which is used for stress reduction, pain relief, and deep relaxation. The technique does not require "belief" in it in order for it to work and it yields measurable scientific benefits. The technique is used widely in Sweden and is recognized by authorities as rehabilitating treatment (rehabiliterande friskvård).

How does it work?

Reiki helps to increase body energy levels and stimulate natural body healing processes. In a way, Reiki "reconnects" the body with its owner, restoring the inner balance and promoting wellness. Experiences during a Reiki session vary somewhat from person to person. The healing effect will inevitably take place, but it might happen in an unpredictable way.

Are you qualified?

Yes. I practice four different types of Reiki: the traditional one, stemming directly from Dr. Mikao Usui, and three others, lesser known in the West. There are only five people between Dr. Usui and me, it means that the original Japanese tradition was passed down to me with minimal distortions. I am a member of Reikiförbundet, the Swedish Association of Reiki Practitioners.

Reiki is meant to be used as complementary treatment/stress reduction tool and is not a substitute for qualified medical care.
